The WVCA is the official AKC Parent Club of the Wirehaired Vizsla. The mission of the WVCA is to promote and protect quality and versatility in the purebred Wirehaired Vizsla, to educate members and others about the breed, to encourage the highest standards of ownership and breeding and to strive to bring the breeds natural qualities to perfection.

Responsibilities As A Member of WVCA

  • Member’s responsibilities include educating the public about the breed, keeping in mind that they and their dogs represent the breed, the WVCA and the sport of purebred dogs.
  • Members are urged to accept the written breed standard as approved by the American Kennel Club as the standard description of all qualities by which the Wirehaired Vizsla is be judged.
  • Members are required to maintain good sportsmanship at all events and competitions.  Members conduct should always be in accord with the purposes and intent of he WVCA Constitution and By-Laws and Code of Ethics.
